Our Philosophy
At the heart of everything we do is a heart of service. We are passionate about serving women and their families during the childbearing years, supporting families with non-judgmental support, care, and compassion. We strive to provide the environment that supports parental choice in their birthing environment and freedom. Its time to make a change in our birthing community, join us in Moving Mountains !
Our Story
In late 2016, originally under Dulce Birthing Services, Anita began training Birth Support Specialists (a.k.a Birth Doulas) in our local community. In the Spring of 2019, we officially opened as a local guide to expand it’s training courses and apprenticeships.
Mentor Anita along with our mentors, bring over 22 years of birth support experience are well as holistic midwifery knowledge. We are creating a community learning environment where those passionate about birth and postpartum can make a difference.
DCBS offers birth & postpartum support specialist certification (AKA “Doula”) , and a midwifery community studies group partnered with Ancient Arts Midwifery. Our programs are always definitely growing!

Samantha Johnson, CVD (TVL), CBSS, CPST (STAC)
Mentor & Postpartum Support Specialist Instructor
Samantha,is an Army veteran’s wife and a mother of 4. She has been serving the Central Texas area (Killeen & surrounding areas) as a professional birth & postpartum support specialist (a.k.a doula) for the past 7 years. Her purpose is to provide non-judgmental emotional, informational, and physical support in the perinatal period (pregnancy, birth, and postpartum). Her role is a non-clinical role of support to help you prepare for your journey into parenthood. Her last baby was born via VBA3C! That birth deeply impacted the way she views her role as not just one of support, but sometimes advocacy as well. The perinatal period is a special and sacred time in life that should be honored, respected, and safe. She absolutely understands the importance of having someone in your corner every step of the way, and look forward to serving you and your family. She currently is also apprenticing as a student midwife.
